Uncountable potential applications for innovative products

The extremely low silver content necessary to realize electric conductivity is revolutionary.

The low amounts of silver enable production of transparent and conducting coatings and films. These materials will compete with expensive transparent conducting oxides (TCOs) like indium tin oxide (ITO) and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in the near future. Such transparent conductive films are highly desired components for use in displays, photovoltaics and light emitting devices (LEDs), as well as for transparent IR-reflection coatings.

There is a high interest in conductive inks for printed electronics applications like electrodes, touch buttons and antennas, e.g, in radio-frequency identification-tags (RFID-tags).

Further applications of high interest are silver nanowires in adhesives, conductive polymer composites and coatings to provide a huge variety of products with properties ranging from antistatic to high conductivity, including potential radiant-panel-heating applications.
